SCENARIO

As varied and as bizarre a collection of unique sporting events as you are every likely to find. Have you got a good enough eye to be a 'crack shot': the nerve to attempt the 'devil dive': the strength to 'smash slates': the accuracy to shoot the 'cross bow': and finally (and unbelievably) triumph over an 'underwater assault course'?

GAME PLAY INSTRUCTIONS

After loading the commentator will introduce the game and you twill be asked how may players to participate.

Up to four players can play against each other. You will then each be allotted a fact and you can type in your names.

You will then be asked if you want to play all the events (y/n). If you press Y you will go through all the events in turn, in proper tournament fashion. If you press N then you can pick any of the five events to practice.

EVENT INSTRUCTIONS

CRACK SHOT
You have one and a half minutes to shoot as many targets that appear in the alley, as you can. Move the sight around the screen using UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT and FIRE when over a target. Keep an eye on your bullets because after every salvo of six shots, you will have to reload your gun. Don't shoot the alley cats or you will lose points!

SCORING
Static board - 1 point each hit + 2 if blown to bits
Moving target - 2 points each hit
Thrown objects - 5 points
Alley cat - Lose 5 points

DARE DEVIL DIVE
Each player has three attempts at this event. You decide how high you want to jump from (40 ft. - 400 ft.) by pressing UP to go onto the next higher level. At the chosen height FIRE will start the dive. On the way down you must display as many positions or spins etc. to gain style points.

At the same time you must keep your shadow over the water to gain accuracy points. Also wind can blow you off target! You control your position over the water by moving left/right/up/down. Display positions etc. are achieved by pressing the FIRE button and moving the joystick in any direction.

SLATE SMASH
You only have one minute for this all-action speed event. A sumo wrestler on each side of you will hold up slates at various heights, it is you task to pick the best move to smash them. You will gain extra points for harder moves, e.g. HIGH KICK and bonus points if you smash two slates in one move!

CROSS BOW
There are three distances to shoot: 150 ft, 200 ft, 250 ft. You are allowed two bolts at each distance and all should be fired in 1???? minutes.

Firstly you have to load the bow; do this by waggling the joystick LEFT and RIGHT to increase the string tension. At the right tension, press FIRE.

You now control the sight over the enlarged target. When aiming, take into account the effect of the gravity and current wind direction which is displayed right of the target. The minus sign indicates wind blowing from right to left.

Press FIRE and watch the bolt in flight.

SCORING
Bullseye - 40 points
1st Band - 20 points
2nd Band - 10 points
3rd Band - 5 points

UNDER WATER ASSAULT COURSE
Swim the length of the course as fast as you can, collect the gold coins and swim through the tyres to gain points. Keep a sharp eye on your air and dodge the stinging jelly fish.

Avoid the varied underwater obstructions and watch out for mines.

Giant clams, octopus and thick seaweed will hold you up.

SCORING
You will score a time bonus and point for each coin collected and tyre swum through.

Press FIRE to pick up coins and move up to the surface to breathe that good sea air.
